Celebrate the International Month of Felt!

Watch for the distinctive FeltUnited colours - red, orange & yellow - at Open Space, Knotty by Nature Regalia Boutique and Gala Fabrics in downtown Victoria, BC.

FeltUnited is an international movement to bring awareness to the traditional, sustainable and versatile art of felt making. Open Space Gallery will feature an installation designed and created by local felt artist, Mahshed Hooshmand.

The show will fun from October 3rd October 10th at Open Space, with a Opening Reception and cocktails on Saturday October 3rd at 5pm to 7pm.

Join us for a full day felt-making workshop scheduled for the morning of Saturday October 3rd at Knotty by Nature: 1816 Goverment St.

The first portion of the class is an introduction to felt making, where students will learn 3 basic techniques: making a ball, making a cord and making flat felt. The last portion of the class students will have the opportunity to work on a project of their choice using the resist technique.Some of the project choices are: journal cover, hand puppet, tea pot cosy, clutch, wine bottle cosy.

Workshop runs from 10am to 4pm, Saturday October 3rd.
